Everyone besides a small niche has moved to
KDE4, and KDE4 is definitely ready for the job.

That "small" niche includes some users dependent on KDE3 features that remain missing in KDE 4.7 (e.g. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=158556), not to mention intolerable new bugs in KDE4 (e.g. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283366).

Another "feature" is the panel no longer automagically adjusts for display aspect ratio or resolution. At work I built a server with a 720p monitor. My desktop is 1080p and a ThinkPad with 1024 x 768 resolution. I often use XDMCP to connect to the server. When I use a different monitor, I'll often the panel extends beyond the edges of the monitor or doesn't come close to reaching them. I have to manually adjust the width, which means it'll be the wrong width again, when I use a different system. It's be nice if the KDE4 KNetworkManager actually worked with WiFi too.
