I had an HD crash so I decided that I would install 11.1 x 64 on my

have not had problems with sound until now, not sure how to proceed.

       System is a Dell C521 w/Amd-64 cpu, 6g ram. Os is 11.1 with  w/updates,
KDE  Version 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3) "release 4.10.4", Sound is listed as
MCP51
High Defination Audio (I believe its an intel audio chip).

Any ideas on where or what to do?

Thanks, Mike.

Mike,

My similar system lost sound with the latest 11.1 kernel update.
