Clicking on an http link in an email within Thunderbird used to launch
Firefox and open the page in the browser. Four or five days ago, this
does not happen anymore and clicking on a link results in no action.

I have amended the file
/usr/lib/thunderbird/defaluts/pref/thunderbird-all by adding the
following lines at the end but this did not work either.

//launch firefox
pref("network.protocol-handler.app.http", "/usr/bin/mozilla-firefox");
pref(”network.protocol-handler.app.https”, “/usr/bin/mozilla-firefox”);
pref(”network.protocol-handler.app.ftp”, “/usr/bin/mozilla-firefox”);

I also created a file called user.js in
"$HOME/.mozilla-thunderbird/default.XXX/user.js" and added similar lines
to no avail.

Can anyone please help me to restore Thunderbird's behavior to launch
Firefox when clicking on a http link?

I am using version 2.0.0.12.

Thanks and regards.

Sudhir.

As for now, as far as i know, a 'real' solution has not be found yet, probably, because probably the real cause is not clear yet...
If anyone knows more, please reply, this behaviour is very anoying and time consuming:
Copy and paste links, change desktops by hand, and al that.. ;)
