[opensuse] yast - network settings, hanging...

I'm having trouble editing my network interface configuration in yast.
I click into it, click next at the prompt for NetworkManager (the
default) or ifup, and then it displays both my interfaces. The
problem occurs when I try to edit one of the interfaces. The yast gui
immediately hangs. Top shows the command '/usr/lib/YaST2/bin/y2base
lan qt' running away with the cpu (though only increasing my LA by 1
or so).

I poked around and found the /var/log/YaST2/y2log file.

Here's a couple of snippings.

And it's hung at this point...

Any ideas? Are there some config files I could delete to force it to
start a fresh network config maybe?
