Upgrade TBird at
http://software.opensuse.org/download/mozilla/SUSE_Linux_<version_number>
-- for example, the changelog from
http://software.opensuse.org/download/mozilla/SUSE_Linux_9.3/repodata/repoview/MozillaThunderbird-0-1.99.1-44.1.html
reads

* Tue Nov 21 13:00:00 2006 wr@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

- update to snapshot 2.0alpha1-20061120
- readded backend patch to allow replies to list with
ReplyToListThunderbirdExtension (#199125, bmo #45715)
- readded mailnews.clobber_list_reply pref which switches
"Reply All" to "Reply List" functionality if set

ReplyToList is available at
http://alumnit.ca/wiki/index.php?page=ReplyToListThunderbirdExtension
(the old link that is listed everywhere on the internet, to open.nit.ca,
doesn't work anymore, the web server there apparently being down).

Seamonkey at the same repository is also patched, but the replytolist
extension doesn't yet install on it (I emailed the author, and he is
working on that now). For the moment, Seamonkey users are limited to the
rather moronic "solution", invented by some dumb-a** at mozilla.org, of
changing the behaviour of the reply-all button (and just what happens if
I really *do* want to reply to all? The reply-to-all key combination is
also changed.)
