With the upcoming change to Daylight Savings Time here in the United
States, is openSuSE 10.2 already prepared for it?

Yes, 10.0 had it already.

You can check yourself with the command

zdump -v US/Central

That outputs all DST changes.

For names of other timezones in the US/, you need to look at the directory /usr/share/zoneinfo/US/; zdump actually outputs information from these files.

Cheers,
Joachim
