hi folks,
Does the HPLIP driver work (correctly install, function with CUPS) on Suse
10.0, 10.1, 10.2...?

This driver is supposed to support well over 1k printers and supposedly
has advanced printing features including printer feedback and maintenance.
Just wondering if anyone has some experience in this area-- pertaining
specifically to Suse 10.x

Seems to only work with parallel or USB connection. I have a net attached printer, and I can't get it to see the darned thing.

In 10.0, the README file /usr/share/doc/packages/hplip/hplip_readme.html claims that only USB and network is supported for most systems. The column for parallel support is mostly filled with "No".

Since I tend to believe docs, I didn't try it out. ;-)
