Thanks,
disabling zen-updater at startup solved the problem.

However I have another question related to this:
To be able to configure/disable zen-updater at startup I had to
reenable zmd for being able to start zen updater for
configuring. Is it possible to configure zen-updater from the
command line w/o running it? If yes, how?

Thanks,
IG
