Donald,

1. add a new source (in yast): packman
2. install mplayer
3. finito

Nor quite. You need to also install libdvdcss. Search on the packman
site for detailed instructions.
libdvdcss is not on packman ASAIK. I tried looking for it but received the error message stating that because of new copyright law in Germany libdvdcss is not available. Fortunately I had a copy of it from the pre-stupidity times.

The last I looked there were instructions on where to get and install it
unless those have removed as well.

I haven't gone back to see if there the instructions you mention but I'll check if I have to go back there.

Cheers.
