This means that none of the demuxers in mplayer were able to read the
file, so mplayer decided to fallback to avisynth dll which does not
exist in w32codec-all. It looks like the wmv9dmo codec is not
loading. What is the output of

ls /usr/lib/win32/*dmo*

?
