Well it costs more than that for a litre here in Germany, at the moment my
local Aral has regular diesel at €1.149 ($1.45) a litre, Ultimate Diesel is
€1.229 ($1.55) and unleaded is €1.239 ($1.56) ISTR. Luckily I get around
5,3L/100 out of the Mondeo (~53mpg), which isn't bad for something of its
body size (family station wagon). It drops to the mid 40's when I'm doing
long motorway trips cruising over the 160km/h (100mph) mark.

And Germany is cheap next to England, my brother is currently paying around
$2 a litre for Petrol and a little more for Diesel.

"I got to go figure," the tenant said. "We all got to figure. There's some way
to stop this. It's not like lightning or earthquakes. We've got a bad thing
made by men, and by God that's something we can change."
