We have a Fedora client on our SuSE lan with 2.6.10. The
Fedora KDE setup is not easy to work out (why can't
everyone do it under /opt?) and it takes ages to find
config files if you're used to SuSE. But you are right. It
is faster then the version that is shipped with 9.2. Also,
the nfs shares get mounted faster but that's probably due
to the kernel.

Can you use yast with fedora?
