Hi there

Running Suse 8.2, I'm trying to connect via an Ethernet card to my
router, which according to its manual has the default IP 10.0.0.2 . I've
set my computer's IP to 10.0.0.100 and Gateway + DNS to 10.0.0.2
(firewall turned off).

The pcmcia (cardbus) Ethernet card seems to work, but when pinging the
router I get the following message: 'Network is unreachable'. The
command 'rcnetwork restart' tells me that my that shutting down is
'skipped' and starting is a 'hotplug' event.

How do I set up an network interface with pcmcia hotpluging; what could
be the problem?

Cheers, Sam
