So is /media/cdrom/driverupdate a file that should be on the 32 bit cds? I don't have one.

Uh.... Guess what I finally figured out... I mislabeled the DVDs when I
copied them. The reason I couldn't do a network install is because I had
the wrong blinkin' DVD in.
No wonder it was crashing... I was booting to a 32bit CD, loading a
64bit install program and boot image.

Duhhh... It works now.

Man am I dumb!
