From a Konqueror window, Settings -> Configure Konqueror... -> Previews ->
Maximum File Size. It's a bit of a misnomer, as it doesn't control the
size of the preview but rather the maximum size of a file that will be
analyzed to produce a preview. If you like having preview icons for
jumbo-sized images or PDFs or something, you'll need to turn it up; the
only hit should be a delay as it generates thumbnails for really big
files.
