I'd try these:

ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/8.2/suse/i586/pdf2html-0.35-22.i586.rpm
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/8.2/suse/i586/xpdf-2.01-54.i586.rpm
(includes pdftotext)

I just saw that you had 9.0 and not 8.2, although you kinda asked about
both. You can probably find similar packages under the 9.0 ftp
directory tree.
