You should try to do a Ctrl Alt F1 and see if you can get to a shell
prompt. Sometimes X locks up due to an error in your desktop
manager or program.

If you get a shell prompt you can run "ps afx" or top to see which
the offending cpu eater is and kill it.

HTML in e-mail is not safe. It let's spammers know to spam you more,
and sets you up for online attack through IE 4.x and above.
Using HTML in e-mail promotes it as safe to the uninitiated.
