How to get scanlogd to run at boot

Hello, everyone.

I am having a hard time getting scanlogd to start at boot time. It is
configured to run at boot time, the rc.d script is all set up.
/var/log/boot.msg says it started with a return code of 0, which to me
means it started without any problems.

If I log in normally as root, and start it, it works just fine, and
detects my basic nmap scans. Anyone know how to get scanlogd to
reliably start at boot ?
