8.0 kernel paging request error

since i have installed suse 8.0, sometimes i get the following error message
in /var/log/messages and the program i started freezes:

first i thought it could be a hardware problem, but i installed everything on
a second system and still get the error messages!
the problem always appears when i use "find / -name anything", after a while
the system freezes.

anybody out there who could help?
