Isn't there some rule that goes up by a certain amount.
Like 10.0.0.0/8 is something
And 10.0.0.0/128 is something...is there a table I can find these things
out with or what is the math on this.

Hello Michael

If you just want to have a second network why do you want to change the
mask?
I just don't know why you want to set mask 255.254.255.0 for your
private
network.

Do you have enough with a 255.255.255.0 that gives you 255 client ips
(10.10.0.1 to 10.10.0.254) ?

In case you need more addresses then you may change your mask.
