i have two identical systems (hardware) for two different roles..

the first has jfs file system and works flawlessly after the installation of samba

the second system has ext3 file system has locked itself into real-only (file system) mode on boot after installtion of samba
now i know that samba itself cannot cause this type of problem but i was wonderring if
the susescripts that configure the system could have done something accidentally

at the momment im hosting a number of mail domains so it would be unpleasant to rebuild the whole system.

so now... i hope some one can enlighten me on whether someobe has experienced something of the
sort or the case itself

oh by the way im running suse 7.3
