I just did one (7.3-pers, since 7.3-pro may be different). It's a mixed bag:
the installer starts offering 'reiserfs' as default, but the moment you
choose one partition to be 'ext2' (like /boot; who's going to reiserfs a 12MB
partition?), then the following partitions will be 'ext2' by default,
regardless of size.
But 'initrd' is necessary, I think, since it is in /etc/rc.config:

gr (in /usually/ sunny, balmy Florida)
