You are right the problem was on the KMix, the volume was half way up. Now is
on "full" volume, looks like is not very sensitive...

On the "have you checked to see if it is plugged in" line, have you checked
the mixer to make sure that the CD volume is up. I had a similar problem
and found one of the volume controls was turned all the way down. Just a
thought.
