Hello SuSE list,

First off, Newbie-->ME :-) (be gentle)

I have just installed 7.3 Pro and I cannot get an
Internet connection. I am connecting to a motorola
cable modem via D-Link router. My network
card(eepro100) is identified properly and the driver
is loaded. I went into yast and configured the NIC to
use DHCP, made eth0 active, and saved the
configuration. I then go to the console and try to
ping the gateway, it says that the network is
unreachable. I can connect to the router with my
laptop running MDK 8.1 with no problem....

What is the magic incantation to make this go?

Light a large fire, and dance around it, chanting "Wooga Wooga".

More seriously, you'll need to post a bit more information.

The IP address of your router

The output of 'route' and 'ifconfig eth0'

Then we'll (probably) be able to help. :-)
