put the domains you want to recieve mail for (ie quick.net, etc) in the
file
/etc/mail/sendmail.cw (that is if you used the suse rpms, if you compiled
from source put them in /etc/mail/local-host-names)

restart sendmail

now your mail server will accept mail for whatever domains are listed in
that file (one entry per line) you also need mx records in your DNS
pointing each domain to the A record for your machine (ie, if your machine
is srvr.tp.notarious.net and has an ip of 200.200.200.200 then the record
in the quick.net zone file would look like
IN MX 10 srvr.tp.notarious.net

now to get the user names and user accounts straight, you will need to
edit your /etc/mail/virtusertable file
example

john.doe@xxxxxxxxx: q001
jasson.smith@xxxxxxxxx: q002

this maps the virtual user account john.doe to the real user accout q001
when john.doe wishes to check his email, he will need to login as q001
with his password.
then save the file and rebuild the database with
makemap hash /etc/mail/virtusertable < /etc/mail/virtusertable

no need to restart sendmail for this step.

Hello,,

im a bit confused with sendmail,

i have installed a system with sendmail since its the default installation
and mostly supported mail system,
now the system has been installed under my own domain:

srvr.tp.notarious.net

now when im getting lost on where to and what to configure in order to host
other domains such as

quick.net

i have created localuser accounts

q001
q002

and i would like these accounts to have the following mail addresses
(incoming and outgoing)

q001 -> john.doe@xxxxxxxxx
q002 -> jasson.smith@xxxxxxxxx

what do i have to do to get this right and so that i can also host some
other domains on the same system?

awaitting for your friendly support
regards
O.
