No. I didn't even touch inittab prior to this problem arising. I was looking

through some other logfiles, and I found this in my /var/log/xdm-errors
file.
It may have something to do with the problem but I really am not sure
because
it doesn't even bootup even when I try to get into console mode. Anyway,
here
is the entry:
---------log entry------------
(**) NVIDIA(0): DPMS enabled
(II) [GLX]: Calling GlxExtensionInit
(II) [GLX]: associated 18 out of 18 GLX visuals
Couldn't load XKB keymap, falling back to pre-XKB keymap
Could not init font path element /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo/, removing

from list!
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/Xsetup_0: line 3: 4289 Segmentation fault
xconsole
-geometry 480x130-0-0 -daemon -notify -verbose -fn fixed -exitOnFail
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/GiveConsole: line 10: 4391 Illegal instruction
chown
$USER /dev/console
------------end log entry------------
There was also a message in my /var/log/messages file that said the
SuSEConfig
script was segfaulting.... Quite a headache.
Thanks
