I had problems printing with smbclient 2.0.7-105 in SuSE 7.1. Someone
on the list found that going back to 2.0.7-49 in SuSE 7.0 fixed the
problem. I did it and it fixed my problem. I wasn't seeing the short
reads with either version. You might try downgrading.
