If this is a parallel ZIP drive, I'd say the real problem is that you're
using the wrong driver ;-) Try 'modprobe imm' and see if that works. If it
does, and your machine is otherwise using IDE, I'd recommend changing

alias scsi_hostadapter off


alias scsi_hostadapter imm

in /etc/modules.conf (or /etc/conf.modules for SuSE Linux releases before
