[opensuse] Clock speeds up on 10.2
Does anybody know why my clock speeds up? I set it about a week ago..and now it's 10 minutes fast again! Thanks, Steve -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
you might want to use ntpd to update the time automatically. Your mother board maybe faulty and causes the time difference. Unfortunately this is not uncommon. Even servers have this problem. Cheers, Stephen On Tuesday 24 April 2007 19:44, Chris & Steve wrote:

Have you reboot in that time? If so, a file called /etc/adjtime may be the problem. To correct this file, do these three steps in order: Set the right time. Delete this file. Reboot. The file will be recreated. This fixed a problem where the time was wrong after a reboot. If the system has just been running without a reboot, then I can offer no advice. Are you you using a ntp server? -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Kapellgränd 7 P.O.
