Hi, I need to go through a ton of files and delete a bunch of useless crud ;). I was using xfm for this task, but the one included with SuSE 7.2 seems to be buggy (crashes when trying to delete a directory). Is there another good filemanager out there, one that doesn't require KDE or Gnome, please? Thanks. -- Nick Webb http://www.uidaho.edu/~nickw/

Hmm... have you tried mc? Yes, it's a CLI, but IMO, it's the second best file manager for Linux only behind Konqueror. BTW, as I have mentioned before it wouldn't be too hard to setup your WM-based X session to work well with KDE apps - and then you could enjoy the "ultimate" file manager. ;-) Other than that, maybe you should checkout TKDesk, I think that looks kinda nice too... -Tim -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy R. Try gentoo, I use it all the time. It's a bit like DirOpus on the Amiga. http://www.obsession.se/gentoo/ -- MicroSoft Network may not carry this message without license to do so. What about Krusader? That has a nice look to it, almost the KDE equal of MC from the console. Settings are easy and detailed and uses the two window method of viewing files & directories. Seems to be pretty powerful with no problems. end of line Tracer -- ---KMail 1.3.1--- SuSE Linux v7.2--- Registered Linux User #225206 /tracerb@sprintmail.com/ *Magic Page Products* *Team Amiga* http://home.sprintmail.com/~tracerb
