There has to be at least the installed version. If there are no previous versions you can download one from: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Virtualization:/openSUSE11.3/openS... now solved: Following the advice of another post, I installed the version from Oracle rather than BuildSuse. It returned an error of not being able to find the kernel source, which, it turns out was not installed (this was at least part of the issue in the fourm post you suggested). After installing that, and rebuilding, all works.
