Go to http://www.openoffice.org/ and follow the download link in the middle of the page, you can't miss it. The current version 2.0 for Linux is only available as an rpm.
In addition, where can the MS fonts be downloaded from ?
When you have OOo installed go to "File -> Wizards -> Install fonts from the web...".

Yes.
Thank you in advace for your help.

Correction: that should be rpms (plural). Check the installation instructions link on the download page. After you have installed the core rpms find the SuSE menu rpm (singular) and install that separately.

I don't see that Wizard.
Are you using the SuSE version of OOo 2.0? The official version has this wizard in /opt/openoffice.org2.0/share/dict/ooo/FontOOo.sxw Dave

I have both versions, but I checked in the Novell one. When I use the original OO, I see that Wizard. However, I can open that file in the Novell OO. I wonder why Novell chose not to include it? tnx

I think I found the answer. The fonts available with that Wizard appear to be the same ones that can be installed with YOU. In that case, SUSE users don't need the OO font Wizard.

Or just install from DVD/CD and then run YOU.

Since you're running SUSE, why not use the Novell version. Install from CD/DVD and then YOU to get the latest version?

You might want to adjust your clock. You apparently posted your message on Dec 10. Last I checked, it's still November. ;-)

Hi Maura, I am now running SuSE 10, and YOU incremented the OO version to 2.0 build 2.0.0.1 a few days ago.
In addition, where can the MS fonts be downloaded from ?
If you start YOU, get the update list, and scroll down it, you should see the MS fonts download as an option. If it's not there, try asking to see all installed and installable updates and make sure it's not already done, sometimes one doesn't notice ...
Is the last OO version going to run on SuSE 9.1 ???
Don't know, can't see why not, but in that case I doubt YOU is what you want.
Thank you in advace for your help.
PS your clock seems to be off in December, perhaps consider an adjustment? HTH Fergus
