ok i try that and this is what i get mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrecorder /cdrecorder mount: block device /dev/cdrecorder is write-protected, mounting read-only mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdrecorder, or too many mounted file systems

Um... 'man mount' tells you everything you need to know. The basic syntax is:
mount -t [filesystem name] [device name] [mount point]
Thus, I mount my CDRW drive by doing:
mount -t iso9660 /dev/scd1 /media/cdrom

This is probably because you don't mount audio CD's; you read data directly from them more like a stream that happens to be on a disc. You mount disks when you need to read blocks. ===== -- -=|JP|=- Hit me! - http://www.xanga.com/cowboydren/ Jon Pennington | Debian 2.3 -o) cowboydren @ yahoo . com | Auto Enthusiast /\\ Kansas City, MO, USA | ICQ UIN 69 67 29 31 _\_V __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
