Something doesn't seem right.
Why is it that at www.novell.com and the suse site within it, there's NO bold and bragging news about SUSE 10.0?! By now, there SHOULD be a LOT of fanfare about it instead of an old release.....9.3. Either something isn't "right" at Novell or whoever does the web pages has been asleep for sometime. Fred -- Planet Earth - a subsidiary of Microsoft. We have no bugs in our software, Never! Yes, looks like Novell France is not updated. Why don't you knock on their door and advise them to become current? -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2

Have another cup of coffee then go back to the Novell site. There's NO mention of SUSE 10.0 and there SHOULD be in bold headlines! To the newbie, it's pretty drab, dull, and noninformative. So I went to http://www.suse.com - Shows SuSE Linux Professional 9.3. I then selected the SuSE Linux item from the products menu and it took me to http://www.novell.com/products/linuxprofessional/index.html?sourceidint=hdr_ products_suse - Big SuSE Linux Professional 9.3 banner. To the right on this page under "coming soon" it shows SuSE Linux 10.0. I then went to http://www.novell.com scolled down to the Products listing and selected SuSE Linux. This took me to http://www.novell.com/products/suselinux/index.html?sourceidint=hp_products_ suselinux which shows SuSE Linux 10. I then went to Novell Africa (http://www.novell.co.za). Their site hasn't changed in the last 6 months. I selected SuSE Linux from the products menu and got taken to http://www.novell.com/products/linuxprofessional/index.html?sourceidint=hdr_ products_suse boasting SuSE Linux Professional 9.3 with SuSE Linux 10.0 under "coming soon". It therefore seems that Novell has changed the locations of certain documents on their website but failed to update all the references. Someone else mentioned that it seems that Novell has not finished updating their website - from what I've seen they need to take the entire website back to the drawing board to fix it. I wonder if someone from Novell is actually monitoring the SuSE mailing lists. I'm sure if they did a lot of the issues would have been solved already. It would appear that if so, the right personal isn't paying attention. Web design and marketing are SORELY lacking at Novell! Fred -- Planet Earth - a subsidiary of Microsoft. <snip> Is that what the haxor was trying to do? I didn't see the wiki page that got hacked tother day .. so I couldn't say.. but I would think one could do a lot of stuff w/ the opensuse group.. and get that looking spiffy enough to catch someone's attention. <useless musings=on > Unless they prefer to be oldtime business when everything was drab and business folks were pissed at warp4's advertising ... said it made it seem "not dedicated enough" to business as it was then...
