AmaroK As A Podcasting Client / Aggregator?
Hi, I guess I'm pretty dense, because while I can find several statements that amaroK 1.3.x contains podcasting support, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make it perform such a function nor can I find any documentation or instructions on how to use it as such. Can someone point me in the direction of the information I'll need to evaluate amaroK's capabilities as a podcasting client? Separately, I'm soliciting suggestions for good podcasting software. I've found the three "xPodders:" gPodder (minimalistic), jPodder (full-featured) and iPodder (full-featured). The latter two are not really as mature or stable as I'd like, though their capabilities seem thorough. Thanks in advance. Randall Schulz

(1) Goto the Plisylists tab (2) Right click on the Podcasts folder in the Playlists Window (3) Select "Add Podcast" (4) Enter the URL YMMV, my Amarok version is from svn. Oops did't catch this spell mistake in time. This should read: (1) Goto the Playlists tab Charles -- printk("whoops, seeking 0\n"); linux-2.6.6/drivers/block/swim3.c

Jeez. How did I miss that? But... Is it supposed to spin the clock cursor forever, stop updating its window and require forcible termination when you add a podcast feed?
YMMV, my Amarok version is from svn.

OK. I cleared out all the amaroK settings files from my ~/.kde/... directory and started over. Not only did this eliminate the hangs, it seems to have caused other things to appear for the first time in the amaroK GUI. Strange, huh? Randall Schulz
