Dear All I need some help. I never thought I would have to do this. After years of successfully installing SuSE on anything and everything, laptops, desktops, servers - from 6.0 to 9.1. I am stumped by 9.2!!!
I don't know what the clever people at Novel have done but the usually fool proof installation is broken.
I get the looking for some installation files hang on normal installation, with or without acpi. So I went for manual install. It then crashes on hard drive driver load - a red box comes up and it starts again.
Try disabling ACPI in your BIOS.

maybe you can give some more details on your hardware piet
I have P4 3200 on a MSI 865PE Neo2-P motherboard. I have two regular IDE drives, 1 GB ram and a Nividia graphics card.
Any ideas?
