Okay. So If I am understanding right, for the record, this is what you are saying. We can still discuss the latest MS news, Fred can still post his news messages, and we can talk about CPU cooling. The idea is that if 20 messages later the MS thread is still going, it ought to move over to Chris' lx-talk list, right? If that's the case things are good - that's better than a "kill thread" message when the thread is interesting.
I delete all off-topic messages without reading them. I don't have time to read so many messages every day, and I'm not interested in them. Microsoft & Linux news are regularly posted to e.g. http://linuxtoday.com/ so I don't see a reason why such threads should even be started here. I prefer a technically oriented list where SuSE Linux related problems are discussed. I don't say it must be this list. If people want to discuss general topics here, a new (off-topic free) list might also be a solution. -- Alexandr.Malusek@imv.liu.se
