Hi there, I'm trying to compile an interface for a few mp3 programs called ripper. In order to do so I downloaded a current # ./configure loading cache ./config.cache creating ./config.status creating Makefile configuring in src running /bin/sh ./configure --cache-file=.././config.cache --srcdir=. loading cache .././config.cache checking for gcc... gcc checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... yes checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) is a cross-compiler... no checking whether we are using GNU C... yes checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/ginstall -c checking for main in -libs... no checking for gtk-config... no checking for GTK - version >= 1.1.13... no *** The gtk-config script installed by GTK could not be found *** If GTK was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in *** your path, or set the GTK_CONFIG environment variable to the *** full path to gtk-config. configure: error: Cannot find GTK: Is gtk-config in path? configure: error: ./configure failed for src I installed a current version of GTK prior to this operation. gtk-config is right here: /usr/local/lib/gtk+-1.2.7/gtk-config The following didn't help either: # export GTK_CONFIG=/usr/local/lib/gtk+-1.2.7/gtk-config Does anyone have any other ideas?
