openSUSE v 12.1 64Bit on an AMD cpu.
I was wondering if anyone has noticed instability in the KDE Desktop? I have found that after two or three hours that the screen develops flickering and that the task manager will vanish from the screen until I move the cursor to its' position Always Visible has been selected). This situation is cured by logging out of the desktop and logging back in.
I have been running SuSE and openSUSE for some years not and have never had so many problems with a Linux distribution. This behavior is most annoying.
No, I haven't noticed that at all. My main computer runs 24/7, but I use the KDE 3 style desktop. I agree, 12.1 certainly seems to have more than it's share of bugs, some serious. On 2 of 3 computers where I've installed 12.1, I had to revert to the old system v, from the new systemd, as too many things broke. The only problem I'm currently experiencing on my notebook computer, where I'm still running systemd, is the WiFi occasionally has problems connecting to WPA encrpted access points. Another issue is remote login is broken all all systems. I suspect someone decided to change a lot, without proper testing. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
