I have recently bought a new Time Computers 2.6Ghz AMD PC with a 256Mb ATi Radeon 9200SE graphics card in it.
When I try to install my SuSE 8.2 Personal edition, it boots from the CD, but no matter what option I choose, the PC locks, and never brings up any image on the monitor, after Choose the Installation Type' screen.
I guess it might have something to do with the PCI graphics card, but how do I get SuSE installed?
I don't believe the 9200 is supported by 8.2 out of the box. You probably need updated drivers and/or XFree86 4.3. It also seems to depend on exactly who made the card. There was a whole bunch of correspondence last month in several threads. Try searching the archive for '9200' or 'radeon' or '9000'.
