I agree that sylpheed is about the best of breed on mail clients but found with great disappointment that imap is not yet fully supported. For example, I have been unable to successfully move messages beween pop and imap account folders. Since they indicate that the full rollout of imap is still a ways off, I am presuming that features such as this are not yet implemented....(hope I'm wrong and just being an idiot).
Hi Paul,
As I said, I don't really know enough about imap to be a very helpful contributor this discussion, so I defer to your experience. Are you on
no, I'm not on the listserv but it is something I should do. I needed a
quick IMAP
solution so for the shortrun I set things up using Netscape...Mozilla is
just maddeningly
slow on my 300mhz/128meg system...go figure, huh? I will follow your good
thought
on the list however...sylpheed does show huge promise and I find it far
nicer than Balsa
and the like...(IMHO)
Paul
sylpheed mailing list though ? The people there are very friendly and helpful and, though I use only Hiroyuki's official releases, I read much discussion of the experimental features implemented in the claws branch. I am sure that people pn the list and claws contributors would be able to answer your questions.

Geoff
