Thanks a lot for your reply. I followed the way as you described below. But I'm getting now the error as follow: -------- GRUB Loading stage1.5.
GRUB loading, please wait ... Error 17 This is a file system recognition error -- the partition exists, but GRUB cannot recognize the file system type. Stage 1 just loads a location on a partition, and knows nothing about file system types. There are several stage 1.5 files, one for each file system type that Linux can boot from, and one of these must be copied into the MBR along with the stage 1 stuff. Normally grub's install process should figure

Make sure that all the files /usr/lib/grub/*stage* are copied into /boot/grub (except you do not need the stage2_eltorito and stage2.netboot files since you are booting off a hard drive), and then (if necessary) reinstall grub again as Brad suggested in his reply to your first post. If this does not work, or if the files are already in /boot/grub, then we will have to give the grub setup a little more information to force it to install the proper stage 1.5 file. If you wish to understand more about how grub works and if you have access to another system with the grub rpm installed on it, run 'info grub' from a console prompt and just peek around the info menu lists. Particularly important to installling grub are "install" and "setup" -- these are in the grub info under "Commands" then "Commandline and menu entry commands".
