Hi, In previous versions of Suse, I used to be able to add to the root's path by exporting the PATH variable in root's .bashrc file.
In 6.4 this dosn't seem to work, but it still works for normal user's .bashrc.
I've had to resort to adding my directory to the lines setting root path in /etc/profile. Is this the prefered place now? Why isn't root's .bashrc read like other normal users?
Does root have a ~/.profile ? If not, it isn't sourcing .bashrc Out of the box, root isn't set to have that configuration. -- Brad Shelton On Line Exchange http://online-isp.com -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
