SuSE 9.0 on my laptop Linksys WPC11 V3 card Attaching to a Linsys Wireless router
I posted this over the weekend, but no reply. I thought I'd try again as (a) the experts here really do seem to walk on water and (b) in an active list it could easily have been lost.
Admitting some (a lot of??) ignorance here. Right now, the system is recognizing that the card is in place and is trying to load drivers. I'm seeing the following messages in the system log:
cardmgr[1171] executing './network start wlan0' /sbin/hotplug[3373] no runnable /etc/hotplug/wlan-agent is installed ifup: No configuration found for wlan-pcmcia-1 wlan0 /etc/hotplug.net.agent[3383]: interface wlan0 is handled by service PCMCIA...exiting
Have You set ESSID, etc.? Possibel it's not running, because you forgot it. And - can you ping your w-lan-card? Or is there an interrupt-problem with your other cards? (See Hardware-Details in Yast). Andreas
I *THOUGHT* I had set up the configuration in YAST, but obviously not correctly. Can someone point me at what I'm missing? How should I approach fixing this.
