Install samba using Yast, then use SWAT to configure your smb.conf. on another note, you might want to connect your printer to the linux machine instead of the windoz box. I have a SuSE box running samba with 2 printers (HP DJ682C and JL1100) and doing file sharing with my wife's win98 machine and it works great. Jerry and June Kreps wrote:

Hi Everyone, I'm very much a novice with SuSE so I'd appreciate some help. I've installed the new 6.4 version but am having trouble setting up my network. I have the Linux machine on the same network as two Windows 98 machines and I can't seem to get them connnected. I also can't access the printer which is connected to one of the windows' machines. Any help would be appreciated and would you please keep it as simple as possible. Thanks :>)
