I typed too quickly here, by AMD I mean anything less than an Athelon such as K6, K6-II, K7, etc.
i'd like to try it just fur the fun of it but can you point me to any resources that tell me which options to enable and which not for a K7? (i already had a look at LFS http://www.nl.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/intro.shtml for a general description and the kernel howto ) According to Anders Johansson i already have an optimized kernel: #>rpm -q k_athlon k_athlon-2.4.19-66 but if i understand this right this is optimized for modern Athlons.
