I have also been much harder on SuSE this time around. If we are going to take on the ring wraiths if Redmond we can't let up on the demand for perfection.
Good point, for example in 7.0 during boot I get this error message, "Perhaps USB is disabled in BIOS." USB is in fact enabled and works great in Win98! So for the time being I cannot use the USB support I was looking forward to in 7.0. I am willing to tolerate this because I am pro-Linux and pro-SuSE, and because I did not have any critical USB items that needed to be connected to this machine. Other potential "converts" from the Windows world, your average mainstream users, might not be so forgiving. Still, like you, I feel I got an awesome deal on this distribution. Now I have 7.1 in my house, waiting to be installed as soon as I have time. *************************************************** Powered by SuSE Linux 7.0 Professional KMail 1.0.29.2 Bryan S.
