I am baffled. I will keep on thinking. I have also posted the problem to the galeon list. I will get back to you.
Here is an answer from someone on the galeon list - he is a regular and usually right :
"Have him try using --with-mozilla-libs=/usr/local/mozilla/dist/bin
"The name is counter-intuitive, but the Mozilla "libs" needed by Nautilus "and Galeon are in "bin". "
Well, those libs are not under ..../bin in my system, and I can't imagine why mine would be different just because it is in a sub-directory of /home rather than /usr/local ... but I guess it is worth a try.
Hi Geoff, First of all, I really appreciate all your efforts. You are really too kind! :-) But -- no dice. I changed the "--with-mozilla-libs=" option as above, and it didn't help. What Mozilla libraries is Galeon looking for, anyway? Perhaps I should track them down on my system. -- Tim Kynerd Sundbyberg (småstan i storstan), Sweden tim@tram.nu Sunrise in Stockholm today: 8:40 Sunset in Stockholm today: 14:42 My rail transit photos at http://www.kynerd.nu
