Listers,
I received a few days before the ftp release a set of copied 9.2 cd's. However they turned out to be bad. Since I do not have a static IP, I cannot do a FTP install, so I copied what was good to the hard drive, with the intention of obtaining the rest using wget (i figure i have at least 2/3rds of the files I need, so that should speed things up), and then do an install from hard disk.
I am using OSU as the closest server with this command:
nqs@linux:~/9.2> wget -cr --cut-dirs=5 -R *.src.rpm,*.iso,*.x86_64.rpm ftp://ftp.oregonstate.edu/pub/suse/suse/i386/9.2/*
I used:
wget -m -R iso -nv ftp://ftp.ale.org/pub/suse/i386/9.2/
and had no problems. Try the ftp.ale.org site and see if you have better luck. I also monitored the progress and stopped the download when it got to the source dir's as they were last on the list.
I got the ale.org tree. To boot to the HD partition to do the install, what is the grub string? root, boot, initrd, etc? Ed Harrison SuSE 9.1, Kernel 2.6.9-vanilla PolarBar Mailer 1.25a
