This install of 7.1 dates back to January...and I tend to compile a LOT of stuff. I told it to just update the same rpm's that were installed. I have all the src that I compile in /usr/src so I know what I've installed and what I haven't..so I can just recompile if something is cocked up. So far I have ran everything I normally do and nothing has been messed up..even Sendmail isn't biting me in the ass. ;) ->Or... had you upgraded from other sources I either use SuSE RPM's or I compile from src...I rarely use another distributions RPM's mainly because we are all not on the same sheet of music yet. When everyone is using the same version of GCC and Glibc then it won't be so bad. Also, once the LSB is a standard for everyone *cough*Redhat/Mandrake*cough* then things won't be so bad. -----=====-----=====-----=====-----=====----- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org -----=====-----=====-----=====-----=====----- "Technological progress is like an axe in the hands of a pathological criminal" -AE
